Woodford Reserve 2015 Distillery Series Double Double Oaked Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bottled at 90.4 Proof by the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. Released in Summer 2015 alongside Sweet Mash Redux, this historic bottle marks the absolute inaugural debut of the Double Double Oaked expression within the Distillery Series. It relies on the core triple-distilled copper pot still mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. After primary maturation for 5 to 7 years in new charred white oak barrels inside heat-cycled brick warehouses, the spirit is transferred to a custom secondary finishing container.

While standard Double Oaked is finished for one year, this pioneer expression remains in the separate, heavily toasted and flash-charred new oak barrel for a full 24 months. This extended contact timeline doubles the wood exposure, forcing out a concentrated extraction of heavy wood spice, deep dark chocolate, clove, burnt caramel, and dry oak tannins.
