The Four Roses 2019 Limited Edition Small Batch 112.6 Proof (56.3% ABV) is a non-chill filtered, barrel strength Kentucky straight bourbon produced at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY. This technical assembly is distinguished by the inclusion of the oldest liquid ever used in a Small Batch Limited Edition at the time: a 21-year-old OBSV (35% rye, delicate fruit yeast). The blend also features a 15-year-old OESV, a 15-year-old OESK, and an 11-year-old OESV.
Matured in specialized single-story rackhouses, this release highlights the “V” strain’s rare ability to maintain creamy fruit esters alongside the heavy oak tannins of ultra-aged stock. The resulting chemical profile is defined by vibrant notes of dark berries, seasoned oak, and rich caramel, which integrate with a structural backbone of baking spice. The non-chill filtered presentation ensures a dense, viscous mouthfeel that carries charred wood and vanilla through a long, technical finish.
