Angel’s Envy 2020 Cask Strength is a highly allocated, 120.4 Proof (60.2% ABV) limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey representing the ninth annual release of this award-winning premium series. This technical expression is crafted from a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The maturation protocol utilizes an initial aging period in new charred American white oak before the liquid is hand-selected for a secondary finishing stage in 60-gallon Ruby Port wine casks. These barrels are aged in a climate-controlled environment to facilitate the absorption of complex vinous esters and wood sugars from the Portuguese oak.
Produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, this 2020 release was limited to a total allocation of 18,960 bottles. The technical presentation features the signature winged glass bottle with a unique 2020 design, housed in a handcrafted, commemorative wooden display box. The high-proof spirit is bottled without chill-filtration, ensuring the retention of essential oils and chemical compounds that contribute to the dense, viscous mouthfeel and concentrated dark fruit profile.
