This specific selection honors distillery legend and U.S. Army veteran Melvin H. Keebler, who dedicated over 50 years to the Lynchburg craft. Hand-selected from the highest floors of the barrel houses, this 750ml single-barrel release was distilled from a 70% rye mash bill and charcoal-mellowed before entering the barrel.
The resulting profile is exceptionally concentrated, featuring notes of toasted rye bread, dark molasses, and herbal spice, balanced by a thick, oily mouthfeel and a long, warming finish of charred oak. This commemorative bottling is a primary acquisition for elite collectors tracking the Jack Daniel’s barrel-strength rye series.
