Clase Azul México Dia de los Muertos Recuerdos is a 80 proof (40% ABV) limited-edition Añejo tequila released in October 2025 as part of the brand’s annual Nuestra Luz series. Produced at NOM 1595, this technical expression features a 28-month maturation profile defined by a unique dual-finishing process. The 100% Blue Weber agave spirit was initially aged in American whiskey casks before being divided for a secondary maturation in American Oak barrels that previously held California red wine.
This sequential aging process was engineered to balance the traditional vanillins of the primary wood with the tannic structure and dark fruit influence of the wine casks. The resulting profile yields specific notes of roasted agave, black cherry, and dark chocolate, housed in a gold-filigreed ceramic decanter representing the “Remembrance” theme.
