Description
Found North 20 Year Old “Peregrine” (2026 Release) is a 119.8 Proof (59.9% ABV) ultra-aged limited allocation representing the third installment of the brand’s prestigious High Altitude Series. This 20-year age-stated expression is a masterful marriage of eight distinct whiskies aged between 20 and 27 years, derived from a mash bill of 80% corn, 19% rye, and 1% malted barley. Following the initial blend, the liquid underwent a five-month secondary maturation in a combination of Armagnac, Cognac, and 18-month air-dried new American oak casks.
The 2026 vintage is the first in the series to utilize Armagnac casks, which provide a fully ripened fruit tone layered with saffron and subtle worn leather. Bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration or added coloring, the profile is defined by a dense, viscous mouthfeel with plush notes of golden apple, maple candy, and blackberry fruit leather. Limited to just 4,506 bottles, this 750ml release remains a primary target for collectors seeking the brand’s most evolved wood-driven profile.
