Description
This wine was discovered after sampling numerous Gredos Garnacha wines in Madrid, and it surprisingly stood out. The charming Aitor and winemaker David are creating ethereal Garnacha styles from a little-known area in Toledo, just outside Madrid, closely resembling the Gredos Garnacha. The wine is elegant and refined, with a lovely fruit weight and a refreshing acidity backbone. It features delightful red fruit flavors, such as macerated strawberries, rhubarb, and rose petals, along with very fine tannins. Despite its modest price tag, this wine is much more sophisticated than expected. Organically farmed, with only 5,000 bottles produced in this second vintage, it’s perfect for both slightly chilled alfresco dining in warmer weather and cozying up when it gets colder.
