Abraham Bowman Sequential Series is a 2 bottle release from the A. Smith Bowman Distillery designed to analyze flavor profiles across distinct barrel lifecycles. Utilizing an undisclosed low-rye mash bill, the distillate was first aged for 9 years in new charred white oak. From there, Variant 1 (2nd Use) spent an additional 3 years in barrels that previously held bourbon for 9 years. Variant 2 (4th Use) spent its final 3 years in complex casks that previously held bourbon, port wine, and Abraham Bowman Port Finished Bourbon. Both variants matured under static conditions in Virginia rickhouses to test wood-extraction boundaries.
