Description
Chile’s Casablanca Valley has become renowned for its exceptional white wines, which is a fitting achievement for a region serendipitously named the “white house”. Thanks in large part to its climate the valley is ideal for growing Chardonnay grapes. As a region located well south of the equator, one might not think that wines used to cool climates could thrive. Yet, the Casablanca Valley is blessed by the cooling impacts of Pacific sea breezes and cold oceanic fogs, which shelter the grapes from the heat, allowing them to mature with astonishing results.
