Description
Named after Strada Provinciale 68—the country road running past her Vittoria estate—Arianna Occhipinti SP68 Bianco 2024 blends two indigenous Sicilian grapes: Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria) and Albanello. The vines, averaging 15-20 years old, grow on red sand soils over limestone in southeastern Sicily. Hand-harvested fruit undergoes co-fermentation with native yeasts in concrete tanks, including approximately two weeks of skin maceration. Arianna Occhipinti SP68 Bianco 2024 ages for 8 months in concrete before bottling unfiltered with minimal sulfites. The estate, certified organic and farmed biodynamically, was founded in 2004 by the niece of COS winery’s Giusto Occhipinti.
