Description
Bajola Orange is a skin-contact wine made from a field blend of Vermentino, Viognier, Incrocio Manzoni, Malvasia delle Lipari, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the volcanic island of Ischia, Campania. Producer Alice Iacono uses extended maceration on the skins with spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts in ancient “palmenti” cement vats. The volcanic terroir at 100 meters altitude, with tufa stone terraces called “parracine,” provides mineral-rich soil. Unfiltered and unfined, with no added sulfites, this organic wine contains 14% alcohol.
