Description
Barbacan Rosato Alpi Retiche is made from 70% Chiavennasca (local name for Nebbiolo) and 30% indigenous varieties including Róssola, Rossolino Rosa, Brugnòla, Chiavennaschino, Pignòla, and Negrera. Grown organically in San Giacomo di Teglio, Valtellina, on steep terraced vineyards at high altitude with granite and schist soils. Gentle pressing with approximately 24 hours of skin contact. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered, and no added sulfites. Bottled at 12% alcohol under the Alpi Retiche IGP designation.
