The Benegas Estate Finca Libertad 2009 is a fine red wine, which blends near equal parts of aged Carbernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot to produce a truly unique sensory experience. On the nose, the three varietals produce a fragrant mélange of aromatic expressions. Rich with a bouquet of red and black fruits, the Cabernet Sauvignon expresses itself most vibrantly. But just beneath this, the roasted red pepper of Cabernet Franc mingles with the soft cherry of the Merlot to delight the senses. From all three come herbal notes which gently bind the other aromas together for a single sensuous experience.

In the mouth, this deep red wine pervades the palate with ripe and juicy flavors, strongly accented by its vivacious aromas. These fruit flavors are rounded out by smoky notes derived from a year of aging in French oak barrels. The flavor is lasting and persistent, leading to a long, elegant finish.
