Description
Bichi’s Gordo Guapo is crafted from 100% Grenache sourced from two distinct vineyards in Baja California, Mexico. One vineyard in the Valle de Guadalupe features 80-year-old vines planted on clay soils. At the same time, the other, situated in the Valle de La Grulla, consists of younger vines on sandy terrain. This combination imparts a unique complexity to the wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, adhering to natural winemaking principles. The wine is aged in neutral barrels and steel vats, allowing the Grenache’s vibrant character to shine through. Bottling is done without fining or filtration; minimal sulfur is added only when necessary.
