Curated by Master Distiller John Rempe at Luxco, this 2017 release features a technical union of three high-rye bourbons: a 12-year-old and two 7-year-old components.
The secondary maturation of one 7-year-old bourbon in Napa Valley wine wood introduces a sophisticated aromatic profile of dark stone fruit, apricot, and soft floral grapes over a base of toasted oak and caramel. Bottled as a 750ml small-batch allocation, this expression represents a refined showcase of how California wine-cask finishes interact with extra-aged Kentucky ryed bourbon.
