Description
The Yakima Valley in Washington State is home to nearly a third of all wine coming from Washington. The region experiences a diurnal temperature shift with long sunny days and cooler nights, making it a desert-like climate. Vines receive hydration from unique irrigation systems and experience cooling through innovative canopying techniques. With nearly 300 days of sunshine a year, the appellation is ideal for varietals that are not fussy and thrive in the sunshine. Our very own Bodewell Sauvignon Blanc was awarded “Editors’ Choice” and 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, as well as “Best in Show” and 92 points from the 2020 USA Wine Ratings competition. It is a beautiful example of the unique whites that are coming out of an area primarily known for bold and lush red wines. This wine sips like a Sauvignon Blanc from the Southern Hemisphere with bursts of lush tropical aromas, bright fruit, and earthy flavors, and a balance of minerality and acidity make each sip linger on the palate. A perfect wine to enjoy on its own or pair with light seafood dishes and green vegetables.
