Description
Bojo do Luar Luar Rosa is a rosé wine from Portugal’s Vinho Verde region, crafted from 80% Azal and 20% Espadeiro grapes. The vineyards are managed organically, emphasizing sustainable practices. Upon harvest, the grapes undergo a twelve-day skin maceration before being pressed. Fermentation occurs in traditional talhas (amphorae) over twelve days, with the addition of 500 grams of ground chestnut flower to aid the process. Malolactic fermentation follows, and the wine is aged in amphorae for three months. At bottling, a minimal addition of 25 mg/L of sulfur dioxide ensures stability while maintaining the wine’s natural character.
