Description
Booker’s Beaten Biscuits 6 Year is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky. Released as Batch 2019-04 and bottled at 126.1 proof, this uncut, unfiltered Booker’s release is part of the named-batch series Master Distiller Fred Noe oversees.
Master Distiller Fred Noe selected the batch from across different rack-houses, aged 6 years, 6 months and 19 days. Marking the final release in the Booker’s Bourbon 2019 Collection, this batch pays homage to Fred Noe’s father, Booker, who learned to make beaten biscuits from his grandmother and spent years perfecting the recipe.
Per Fred Noe’s notes, on the nose, it shows deep and complex, vanilla, nuts and oak. The palate brings robust vanilla and caramel, slightly smoky, and the finish carries long and full, perfect for easygoing sipping. The pour shows Booker’s darkest, deepest amber and henna color.
A 2019 Booker’s release, this named batch is closely tracked by collectors building a complete Booker’s run. Bottled at full barrel strength with no chill filtration, it rewards a few drops of water and drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
