Booker’s Master Distiller’s Batch 7 Year is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky. Released as Batch 2024-03 and bottled at 130.3 proof, this uncut, unfiltered Booker’s release is part of the named-batch series Master Distiller Fred Noe oversees.
Master Distiller Fred Noe selected the batch from across four different rack-houses, aged 7 years, 8 months and 7 days. Marking the third Booker’s batch of 2024, this release is named to honor the men who shaped the bourbon industry, honoring Booker Noe and his peers at other distilleries during the late 80s and early 90s.
Per Fred Noe’s notes, on the nose, it shows deep and complex notes of vanilla, nuts, and oak. The palate brings robust vanilla and caramel with a slightly smoky edge, and the finish carries a long and full character built for easygoing sipping. The pour shows Booker’s darkest, deepest amber and henna color.
A 2024 Booker’s release, this named batch is closely tracked by collectors building a complete Booker’s run. Bottled at full barrel strength with no chill filtration, it rewards a few drops of water and drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
