Description
The first release from Burele was a hit with Firstleaf club members and judges alike, so you can’t blame us for being excited about the follow-up. With grapes that come from the breezy and foggy North Coast region of California, this red blend exhibits a mélange of complex flavors that represent the area’s terroir. Hints of dark cherry, cranberries, and licorice are balanced with fine-grained tannins and a polished structure. It’s a wine that we keep coming back to when we are craving a red. The structure allows it to pair easily with earthy and smoky foods. We think barbecued shrimp, a bacon cheeseburger, and even a complex cheeseboard are all ideal pairings. Judges love it too! It took home Silver at the 2019 Toast of the Coast Wine Competition, the 2019 Monterey International Wine Competition and the 2019 North of the Gate Wine Competition.
