Sourced from their Carneros vineyard in Napa Valley, the 2019 vintage enjoyed early rains and a mild summer. The quality of this Chardonnay starts in the vineyard and harvest practices. Nightime harvesting in the cooler evening air allows the grapes to retain their natural freshness and acidity. Hand-picking grape clusters allow for careful selection of only the grapes at their peak. Quality continues through the winemaking and aging process. Fermented and aged for eight months in French oak helped build depth, texture, and body in this newest release from Cakebread.
