Calera is a vision, and Calera’s wines truly express the sense of place. Rather than follow the recommended path, Josh Jensen became a pioneer in American Pinot Noir. Taking his cue from Burgundy’s great domains, he set out in search of the perfect spot in California to create wines unique to the world but in the style of the greatest wines of France. This Pinot comes from select vineyards in California’s Central Coast viticultural area and has a touch of the elegance and purity found in the top Cuvées. The flavors are lush with red and black fruit flavors supplemented by tea, earth, and spices—a delicious wine from a fantastic Pinot Noir producer.
