Hailing from Brunello di Montalcino (Italy’s first wine to be accorded DOCG status), this Banfi wine is a testament to its aristocracy, balance, and fabulous proclivity for aging. The grapes are meticulously selected and crushed. The juice spends longer than is typical on the skins to impart color and structures. This wine isn’t even released until the 5th year after harvest! It has already been aged for a minimum of 4 years, including 2 years in oak barrels. The resulting wine is beautiful, with a deep ruby color and strong structure. It’s like tasting Tuscany in a bottle. Ready to drink now or lay down in your cellar.
