It blends the crispness of wine fermented in stainless steel with the spicier flavors imparted by French barrel aging, producing a balanced white perfect for everyday enjoyment.

Nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, Friuli-Venezia Giulia produces Italy’s finest white wines. This is thanks in large part to the drastic day-night temperature variation caused by the cooling influence of the Adriatic. The hot days ripen the grapes, while the mild nights preserve their acidity, resulting in fruit that retains a strong but refined character.

WINEMAKERS:

Castello Specchio is sourced exclusively from two vineyards, Azzano Decimo and Bibano. Located in a secluded area of ancient flat woodland, Azzano Decimo’s hard and compact soils result in low-yield harvests of fragrant, crisp Pinot Grigio. Bibano’s deeper, well-drained soils produce grapes of subtler, more nuanced flavors, which give Castello Specchio its structure and finesse.
