From clay-limestone soils in Sury-en-Vaux and vines pushing into maturity, the wine opens with lifted aromatics of white flowers, citrus peel, and a faint herbal edge—think elderflower, lemon zest, and just-cut grass.
On the palate, it threads the needle beautifully between freshness and substance. There’s a core of grapefruit, lime, and green apple, but it’s anchored by a distinct mineral spine—wet stone, flint, and a subtle smoky note that gives it shape rather than flash.
What stands out is the balance. It’s not aggressively sharp, not overly fruity—just clean, tensile, and composed, with a gentle leesy texture adding a touch of roundness beneath the acidity. The finish lingers longer than expected, tapering off into citrus oil and chalk.
