Description
Christian Tschida Birdscape Pink is crafted from predominantly Blaufränkisch with Pinot Noir from vineyards in Burgenland’s Leithaberg region, Austria. The grapes are hand-harvested from limestone and schist soils, then foot-crushed and undergo “pink maceration” – a light skin-contact process for six weeks without extraction. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in large 3000-liter barrels with no racking, this natural wine is bottled without filtration, fining, or sulfur additions at 12% alcohol. The unique process creates a wine between rosé and light red wine styles.
