Description
Clase Azul México Guerrero is a 84 proof (42% ABV) Mezcal produced at NOM-M285X in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. This permanent icon expression is crafted from 100% wild Papalote agave (Agave cupreata), which is native to the humid and mountainous tropical regions of the Sierra Madre del Sur. The technical production process utilizes a 72-hour cooking period in underground pit ovens fueled by local wood and river stones, followed by a unique fermentation process in copper stills.
Double distillation in small batches yields a profile defined by rosemary, salty air, and grapefruit, influenced by the coastal proximity and high-altitude forest environment. The unaged Joven spirit is presented in a teal ceramic decanter featuring a hand-painted floral motif that pays homage to the Olinalá lacquerware tradition.
