Description
Clement Baraut Le Pitrouillet Savennières is crafted from 100% Chenin Blanc grown on the 2-hectare Le Pitrouillet vineyard in the Loire Valley. The 45-year-old vines are planted on schist and sandstone soils, acquired from biodynamic pioneer Nicolas Joly after 30 years of biodynamic cultivation. Hand-harvested grapes undergo direct pressing followed by natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts in neutral oak. The wine ages eight months on fine lees without sulfur additions.
