Crown Royal Bourbon Mash is an 80 proof (40% ABV) limited-release produced at the Gimli Distillery in Manitoba, Canada. This expression represents the first release in “The Blenders’ Series,” highlighting one of the five unique whiskies used in the standard Crown Royal blend. Originally launched as “Bourbon Mash,” the name was officially changed to “Blenders’ Mash” following a TTB ruling that the term “Bourbon” is a protected geographic designation for spirits produced exclusively in the United States.

Technical production utilizes a mash bill of 64% corn, 31.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley. Maturation occurs in a combination of new charred American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a profile defined by aromas of ripe apple and buttery toffee with a palate of creamy vanilla and toasted oak.
