Description
Deux Punx Orange Chardonnay is made from 100% organically farmed Chardonnay grapes sourced from San Benito County in California. Winemakers Dan Schaaf and Aaron Olson ferment the grapes with full skin contact for approximately 22 days using spontaneous native yeast fermentation in neutral oak barrels at ambient temperatures. Deux Punx Orange Chardonnay ages for several months in neutral barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions. The wine contains 12% alcohol and reflects the minimalist, low-intervention winemaking philosophy practiced at their shared warehouse facility in Napa’s River East neighborhood since 2008.
