Description
Domaine de l’Ecu Astra is made from 100% organically farmed Gamay grapes. The winemaking process involves a short vatting period of 10 days, during which the entire harvest is kept intact without running off the juice. This is followed by a gentle pneumatic pressing. The fermentation is carried out exclusively with indigenous yeasts, allowing the wine to fully express its terroir. The wine is then aged 12 months in 450-litre amphorae, enhancing its natural complexity and purity.
Domaine de l’Ecu Astra has aromas of small ripe red fruits, complemented by floral and delicate sweet spice notes. On the palate, it opens with a fluid attack, leading to a structured mid-palate with flavors of cherry and plum.
