Description
Domaine du Haut Bourg Grolleau Rosé is a dry rosé wine produced from 100% Grolleau Noir grapes, cultivated in Bouaye, south of Nantes in the Loire Valley, France. The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate influenced by the nearby Grandlieu Lake, the Loire River, and the Atlantic Ocean, contributing to the grapes’ freshness and maturity. The grapes undergo gentle pressing with approximately 10 hours of skin contact, imparting a delicate pink hue. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled vats using indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation is prevented to preserve the wine’s bright acidity. The estate practices sustainable viticulture, adhering to the Terra Vitis charter.
