Description
Matassa Rouge is a natural red wine from the Roussillon region of France, crafted by winemaker Tom Lubbe at Domaine Matassa. This cuvée is composed of 100% Carignan grapes sourced from old vines planted in 1900, cultivated on clay and limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, with a whole-cluster maceration period of approximately two weeks. Aged in concrete tanks, bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur.
