Description

Duckhorn Vineyards has a storied history in California winemaking. In the panoply of big players, they are one of the biggest, and they are still making fantastic wine. Since 1982 they have been making a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc from their estate and select Napa Valley vineyards. This is a rich and elegant wine that has been blended with Sémillon to add depth and complexity. It was fermented and aged using stainless steel and oak to preserve freshness, but it can still benefit from the oak’s added structure. It has notes of ripe citrus and tropical fruit that are accentuated by the refreshing acidity and Semillon driven silkiness.
