What makes a wine good? There are a lot of factors that can be used to evaluate wine, but ultimately we believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What we will do is tell you what we love about the Earth’s Draw Merlot. It’s full-bodied—the wine just feels big when you taste it, and it’s full of flavor that isn’t just one fruit-forward note. We’d go as far as saying that it’s lush and complex. With plum and blackberry mingling with hints of eucalyptus, mint, and nutmeg, it seems like more flavors reveal themselves with every sip. As it opens up we’ve found a subtle taste of rose that peeks through the fruit. To get even more out of this wine we’ve been pairing it with roasted duck breast, lamb burgers, and tomatoes. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal from the 2020 West Coast Wine Competition and the 2019 Sommelier Challenge.
