This expression is distilled from a traditional mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. Maturation occurs over 15 years in new, Level 3 charred American white oak barrels within the open-air rickhouses of Bardstown, Kentucky. The 54% ABV bottling strength is a historical nod to the May 4, 1964, Congressional resolution recognizing bourbon as a distinct product of the United States.
