Description
Fornacella Brunello di Montalcino originates from the esteemed Montalcino region in Tuscany, Italy. The vineyards are situated at elevations between 300 to 400 meters above sea level, benefiting from a favorable microclimate and well-drained soils ideal for cultivating Sangiovese grapes. This vintage faced arid conditions; however, careful vineyard management allowed for the production of high-quality grapes. The winemaking process involves hand-harvesting the grapes and fermentation in wooden and steel vats over approximately 25 days. The wine is then aged for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels, ranging from 10.5 to 22 hectoliters in capacity, and undergoes an additional minimum of six months of bottle aging before release.
