Description
Frank Cornelissen Munjebel CD is crafted from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes from the Calderara Sottana contrada in Mount Etna’s northern valley at 610 meters elevation. This vineyard features lava soils rich in small stones that retain heat during cold years. The vines are over 60 years old, planted in traditional alberello style. Grapes undergo 60 days of skin contact fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by 18 months aging in epoxy-resin tanks of 1200-2500 liters, plus 18 months bottle aging.
