Description
G. D. Vajra Barolo Coste di Rose DOCG 2021 is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Coste di Rose MGA, located in the Comune di Barolo on a steep east-facing slope positioned between the Cannubi and Bussia hills. The soil is pure Arenaria di Diano, a Tortonian sandstone, at around 310 metres elevation. Grapes were hand-harvested on October 12th and 18th, destemmed, and vinified in custom-designed tini for 54 days under submerged cap maceration. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation followed in spring. G. D. Vajra Barolo Coste di Rose DOCG 2021 then aged 26 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling on June 25, 2024. 14% ABV.
