Description
G. D. Vajra Barolo Ravera DOCG 2021 is a 100% Nebbiolo from the Ravera MGA, the most important single vineyard in the Comune di Novello in the Barolo DOCG. G. D. Vajra farms parcels in the southern amphitheater of the site, at 300 to 380 metres elevation, where Tortonian marls mix with Serravallian sandstones and clays. Grapes were hand-harvested in October 2021, triple-sorted, and fermented in vertical tini for 55 days, including a submerged cap maceration. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation followed in spring. G. D. Vajra Barolo Ravera DOCG 2021 aged 26 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling in July 2024. 14.5% ABV..
