Antonio Gismondi farms 3 hectares of vines at 350 meters elevation in Cerreto Sannita, in Campania’s Benevento hills. Gismondi Chiaro 2024 blends multiple grape varieties—primarily Malvasia di Candia and Sangiovese alongside other local cultivars—from organically farmed vineyards on limestone and clay soils. The grapes are direct-pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then aged on full lees in stainless steel for approximately six months. No sulfites are added, and the wine remains unfiltered. Gismondi Chiaro 2024 represents the tenth generation of the family’s winemaking tradition, producing a pale, delicate style uncommon in southern Italy.
