Gratena Chianti Riserva DOCG 2017 represents the pinnacle of artisanal Sangiovese from the historic Fattoria di Gratena estate in Arezzo. This Riserva is produced only during favorable vintages, using 100% organic Sangiovese grapes grown in mineral-heavy, iron-rich clay soils. Following the Fattoria di Gratena philosophy of minimal intervention, the fruit undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in outdoor stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barriques and an additional six months in the bottle before release.
