Description
Guido Porro Dolcetto d’Alba DOC is crafted from 100% Dolcetto grapes grown in the Vigna Pari vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, Piedmont. The 1.5-hectare vineyard sits at 380 meters elevation with western exposure on clay-limestone soils. Vines average 25-30 years old and are cultivated using traditional methods without herbicides or pesticides. Fermentation occurs in glass-lined concrete vats with indigenous yeasts, involving 7-8 days of skin contact with daily pump-overs. The wine ages in stainless steel tanks, maintaining the fresh fruit character typical of this beloved Piedmontese variety.
