Description
Gut Oggau Emmeram Gewürztraminer stands as one of the few single-varietal wines in this Austrian estate’s portfolio. Produced by Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe in Burgenland’s Oggau village, this 100% Gewürztraminer comes from 40-year-old vines planted in limestone and sand soils, yielding just 1-2 tons per hectare. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and given brief skin contact before pressing. Gut Oggau Emmeram Gewürztraminer 2022 ferments spontaneously in used 500-liter barrels and ages for 12 months without bâtonnage. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no sulfur added.
