Description
Gut Oggau Joschuari Rot 2022 is a single-varietal Blaufränkisch from Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe’s biodynamic estate in Burgenland, Austria. The grapes come from approximately 35-year-old vines planted in limestone and slate soils on hillsides above Lake Neusiedl, yielding 1.5-2.5 tons per hectare. Hand-harvested and destemmed, the fruit ferments spontaneously in used 500-liter and 1200-liter barrels with three weeks of skin contact. Gut Oggau Joschuari Rot 2022 matures for 12 months in the same barrels without bâtonnage. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no sulfur added. 12% ABV.
