This golden Chardonnay is brimming with refreshing fruit flavors and a zippy acidity—a straightforward take on a grape that is too often over-oaked and over-extracted. Paso Robles has atypical “Chardonnay soils,” but the ideal “Chardonnay climate.” The warm days and cool nights produce a wine with a medium bodyweight that is still refreshing. The Hawthorne Grove Chardonnay will pair very well with umami-rich foods. Seafood, chicken, and pasta are the typical choices, but this is a versatile wine ready for almost any occasion.
