Description
Henri Perrusset’s Mâcon-Villages is a dry white wine crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in Farges-lès-Mâcon in Burgundy’s southern Mâconnais region. The estate sits on limestone terroir that is more marly in composition, loaded with quartz and marine fossils, providing excellent drainage and contributing to the wine’s distinctive grainy minerality. Since 2021, talented winemaker Nicolas Roux has continued Henri Perrusset’s legacy of hand-working the vineyards and reducing yields for superior grape quality. The wine undergoes natural fermentation with native yeasts and practices organic viticulture. This approach creates an authentic expression of Mâconnais terroir, showcasing Chardonnay’s generous and luscious character unique to southern Burgundy.
