Description
Il Farneto Brut Nature NV is a traditional method sparkling wine from Marco Bertoni’s biodynamic estate in Castellarano, Emilia-Romagna. The cuvée blends 60% Spergola, an indigenous variety dating to the 15th century, with 40% Chardonnay. Grapes grow on clay and chalk soils at around 300 meters elevation in the hills between Scandiano and Canossa. After primary fermentation with native yeasts, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and ages on the lees for extended complexity. Il Farneto Brut Nature NV is disgorged without dosage, resulting in a bone-dry sparkler with zero residual sugar.
