Description
Although conditions in Washington’s Columbia Valley are more hot and dry than the surrounding areas of the Pacific Northwest, its average temperatures during the growing season are still significantly lower than California. When it comes to thick-skinned black grape varieties, this climate results in brighter and more approachable wines. This deliciously light-hearted, 93 point Cabernet Sauvignon from our skilled team at Iron Arrow is a wonderful combination of power and precision. Since these Washington grapes were harvested at just the right level of ripeness, flavors of perky blue fruit complement fresh and refined herbaceous notes. Our winemakers chose to limit the cold-soak maceration time prior to fermentation, which produced a beautiful, garnet color and softened the tannins. This award-winning wine is perfect for anyone who feels a bit overwhelmed by big and bold California Cabs or just wants to switch it up and try a lighter version of a grape they already know and love.
