Isolani Winery’s 2022 Pinot Noir is fruit-focused and light with a touch of oak-driven character. As in chess, a winemaker must remain several moves ahead to master their craft. This was especially true during California’s 2022 vintage, where midsummer heat waves accelerated ripening and kept winemakers on their toes. In order to adjust to high temperatures, winemakers carefully monitored their crops. They paid close attention to the grape’s balance of natural sugars and acids as they ripened, anticipating the ideal time to harvest. This focused approach paid off with elegant wines that showcase everything we love about California Pinot Noir’s ripe fruit character and soft textures.
